Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains what information is processed when you play games published by Pew Pew Games or visit pewpew.games, why it is processed, and the choices you have. It covers VoltGrid, Rummage, MergeForge, Xeno Frontier: Colony Defense and this website.
1. Who we are
Pew Pew Games is operated by PEW PEW GAME DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, a business registered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the Philippines (“Pew Pew Games”, “we”, “us”). We are the personal information controller for the processing described in this policy, except where Google acts as an independent controller as explained in section 5.

2. The short version
None of our games require an account, and none ask for your name, email address, phone number or other contact details. They have no chat and no user-generated content. Your game progress is saved on your own device.

3. Game by game
VoltGrid
VoltGrid uses Google AdMob to show ads, Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played, and Firebase Crashlytics to report crashes. These services process the data described in section 4. Players in regions where consent is required see Google’s consent message before ads are requested. You can change your choice at any time from Settings > Ad Preferences, and Settings > Delete My Data resets the analytics identifier on your device.
Rummage
Rummage is not released yet. When it launches, it will use the same services as VoltGrid: Google AdMob for ads, Google Analytics for Firebase for gameplay analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports. These services process the data described in section 4. Players in regions where consent is required will see Google’s consent message before ads are requested, and Rummage will include a way to change your choice in its settings.
MergeForge
MergeForge is not released yet. It will show full-screen ads through Google AdMob at natural breaks in play. Before any ad is requested, players in regions where consent is required will see Google’s consent message, and you can change your choice at any time from “Privacy choices” in the main menu. MergeForge does not use analytics or crash reporting. AdMob processes the data described in section 4.
Xeno Frontier: Colony Defense
Xeno Frontier: Colony Defense is a premium PC game in development. It has no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it does not send any data to us. Your saves stay on your computer. If you buy it through a PC game store, that store’s own privacy policy covers your account and purchase.
This website
pewpew.games is a static website. It does not use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Like any website, our hosting provider may record standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
If you email us
We receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use it only to reply to you. We keep the conversation for as long as we need it to handle your request.
4. Data processed by Google’s services
In games that use Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics, those services may process:
- Device identifiers: the advertising ID (the Android advertising ID, or Apple’s advertising identifier on iOS if you allow tracking), the app set ID, and Firebase installation IDs.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language and app version.
- Approximate location derived from your IP address, at country or city level. Our games do not request precise location.
- Gameplay events (analytics games only): for example, levels started and completed, session length and features used.
- Ad interactions: which ads were shown and whether they were tapped.
- Crash and diagnostic data (Crashlytics games only): crash stack traces and the state of the device and app when the crash happened.
We see this information in aggregated reports and crash logs. It does not include your name or contact details.
5. Why it is processed, who processes it, and our legal basis
- Showing ads, which keep our mobile games free. Where the law requires it, this relies on your consent, collected through Google’s consent message. Otherwise it relies on our legitimate interest in funding free games.
- Understanding how our games are played, so we can tune difficulty and fix confusing parts. This relies on our legitimate interests.
- Finding and fixing crashes, which relies on our legitimate interest in keeping our games working.
- Preventing fraud and invalid ad traffic, which relies on our legitimate interests and Google’s.
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), we rely on the same grounds: consent and legitimate interests.
We share game data only with Google, which provides AdMob and Firebase. For Firebase, Google processes data on our behalf. For AdMob, Google may also use data as an independent controller for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention, under its own policies:
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
- Google Privacy Policy
- Privacy and Security in Firebase
- AdMob and user data
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Google processes data on servers around the world, including outside the Philippines and outside the European Economic Area. Google uses legal safeguards for these transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
7. How long data is kept
- Game progress: on your device until you delete the game or its data.
- Analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase keeps user-level data for the retention period set in our project, at most 14 months. Aggregated reports may be kept longer.
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and related identifiers for 90 days.
- Ad data: under Google’s retention policies.
- Emails: for as long as we need them to handle your request.
8. Your choices
- Ad consent: where consent is required, Google’s consent message appears before ads are requested. To change your choice later, use Settings > Ad Preferences in VoltGrid, or “Privacy choices” in the MergeForge main menu.
- Analytics data (VoltGrid): Settings > Delete My Data resets the analytics identifier on your device. To have data Google already holds deleted, email us and we will submit a deletion request to Google on your behalf.
- Android: go to Settings > Privacy > Ads (on some devices, Settings > Google > Ads) to reset or delete your advertising ID. Deleting it opts you out of personalized ads.
- iOS: go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to stop apps from asking to track you, or to turn tracking off for a specific game.
- Uninstalling a game stops all data processing by that game.
9. Your rights
Philippines. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), you have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to have data erased or blocked, to data portability, and to claim damages. You can also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
United States. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, you have the right to know what personal information is processed, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing”. We don’t sell personal information for money, but ads that use advertising IDs can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, delete your advertising ID on Android or turn off tracking on iOS as described in section 8, or decline personalized ads in the consent message where it is shown. We don’t use or disclose sensitive personal information, and we won’t treat you differently for using your rights.
To use any of these rights, email info@pewpew.games. We will reply within 30 days. Because our games don’t collect your name or contact details, we may only be able to act on data we can link to you, and we will tell you if that is the case.
10. Children
Our games are for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us. We will delete anything we hold and submit a deletion request to Google on your behalf.
11. Security
We don’t store gameplay, device or ad data on our own servers. Data processed by Google’s services is protected by Google’s security measures.
12. Changes to this policy
When we update this policy, we change the “Last updated” date at the top. If a game starts processing new kinds of data, we update this policy before that version is released.
